Preliminary Working Item 00386017 "Photocatalyst activity indicator ink"

For the purpose of WG7 members comments there are three Protocols developed under the PWI 00386017 (for download as pdf files):

A) Protocol for Medium Activity Self-cleaning Films, such as commercial self-cleaning Glass
B) Protocol for High Activity Self-cleaning Films, such as commercial self-cleaning Paint
C) Protocol for Low Activity Self-cleaning Films, such as commercial self-cleaning Tiles

The general recommendation for the use of the protocol is as follows:

In the case of a new sample the first protocol to be performed is Protocol A.
In the case of very fast colour change or very slow colour change then either Protocol B or Protocol C has to be applied, respectively. Thus if the colour change is too fast (below 120 s) - use the Protocol B. If the colour change is too slow (above 60 mins)- use the Protocol C.
